Diction Coaching

Does your team include people who speak English as a second language? Are they being held back from fulfilling their true potential because of lack of confidence in communicating through English? Do they find Irish accents or phrases difficult to understand? Do they sometimes have to repeat what they’ve said to be understood? ? Dealing with customers can often present difficulties, especially on the phone. With the added challenge of trying to express yourself and be understood in another language, communication can be frustrating for your staff and customers alike.

Using theatre training methods and the techniques used by actors to learn and perfect accents, Diction Coaching enables English-speaking non Irish-national employees to communicate with greater clarity and confidence. Through a programme that’s delivered over a period of 10 weeks and combines group work and intensive one-to-one tuition, we ensure your employees receive a blend of effective learning interventions. As a result, they will be able to communicate with greater clarity and confidence, overcoming the barriers that lead to misunderstandings, frustration and stress.

• Consultation to identify and reflect your company’s requirements in the course

• Includes pre-course assessment of each participant’s individual needs

• Tailored to include individual tuition for participants

• Can be delivered in-house with timing adapted to meet business needs

• Tailored to suit the business environment and challenges of your organization

This course is specifically aimed at people who speak English in the Irish business context. Originally developed for non-Irish nationals, it can also be adapted to help any staff achieve vocal clarity and improve their communication.

Please note: This is not an English language course. Individual or group English classes from qualified TEFL teachers are available – contact us for further information.

Customer Service Plus

Well-trained, customer-focussed staff enhances the profitability of any organisation, whether those customers are internal or external, face to face, or on the telephone. This course features all of the key ingredients you would expect from a programme developed by service professionals from retail, finance and HR industries, with a refreshing ‘plus’ – theatre-based interventions. Theatre-based training explores the ‘soft’ side of service, and throws a new light on this challenging area. All of our facilitators are business and theatre professionals and realistic staff-customer scenarios are tailored to suit your business.

Problem Handling

Problem Handling is the area where most customer-facing employees feel they need help. On our course, we introduce and develop the principle that how the customers feel they have been treated is their reality. Our approach helps develop assertiveness and the skills needed to bring about a resolution without damaging relationships. This programme covers everything from the ‘life-cycle’ of a complaint, to how to deal with difficult behaviour in the workplace or elsewhere.

Frontline Training

Using theatre-training methods, we bring your corporate vision to life. We develop the programme in consultation with you our client, to ensure that it accurately represents your organization’s culture, policies, products and procedures to your new entrants or existing staff. From product knowledge through excellent customer service to sales, we ensure that your staff are fully prepared and can ‘hit the ground running’ when they meet your customers.
